Welcome to BuildEye. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BuildEye website and services ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What BuildEye is
BuildEye helps people (mainly in the diaspora) track and verify projects being carried out on their behalf, using independent, geotagged, timestamped updates from field agents. BuildEye is a verification and record-keeping service only. BuildEye does NOT hold, transfer, escrow, or process any project funds. Money moves directly between you and the people you choose to pay, through your own channels.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
3. Roles
Funders create and monitor projects. Field agents submit on-site updates after passing identity verification. Admins operate the platform. Verification of an agent confirms identity checks only; it is not a guarantee of any person's conduct or work quality.
4. Service fees
BuildEye charges a service fee for verification visits and platform use, shown to you before a project proceeds. Fees are for BuildEye's services and are separate from any money you pay contractors or others.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to use the Service lawfully, to provide truthful project information, and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
6. No professional advice
BuildEye does not provide construction, legal, financial, or investment advice. Verified updates are informational and do not replace your own due diligence.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildEye is not liable for losses arising from third parties (including contractors, agents, or funders), for decisions you make based on updates, or for events outside our reasonable control.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or harmful.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
